 Dear Arts Academy at Scottsdale Parents,


    Welcome!  Arts Academy at Scottsdale (AASC) is set to begin another year providing an outstanding educational experience for our children.  As we look forward to the 2011-2012 academic year, the AASC PTA will maintain its focus on enriching and supporting a truly elite learning environment that has been educating children for more than 20 years.

 

    Last school year, the PTA made a significant contribution:

~    basketball court, 4-square court and waiting lines freshly re-painted;
~    Drama class added as one of the “specials” (afternoon enrichment classes);
~    a new rebounder wall on the west playground side purchased;
~    wooden benches re-stained;
~    “Snow Day” funded;
~    Hoe Down party sponsored/organized;
~    100th Day ice cream party for students given;
~    several tons of playground sand added;
~    Scholastic Book Fair sponsored;
~    Movie Nights hosted;
~    Coffee and donuts provided at Flag-Raising;
~    Teacher Appreciation Week organized and implemented;
~    Silent Auction organized with over $20,000 raised!
     

    All these successes were achieved because of the hard-work and commitment from the parents and volunteers who make up the PTA.  Your involvement and enthusiasm is exactly what is needed to make our school successful again in the coming school year.  Please review the information in this packet and return the completed forms in the envelope provided to the PTA folder in the front office by Friday, September 9, 2011.
